I did not enter school 1st grade until fall and had count boxes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade and it was "Flesh" long enough for me to be old enough to realize how that was All without hearing about it externally.
I was 1 in 62 but I do remember still seeing "flesh" when I was old enough to read and color. Laney, crayons are difficult to provide a "Sold from this date to that date" range. You could go into stores today and find products that Crayola hasn't sold for 10 years! The same is true with Amazon. Back then, you still had stockpiles of crayons; either in stores or in schools that could have been older. But the history is very clear as to when the product changed. I was born in and I can remember both colors although not where I got them.
I'm wondering why I remember seeing "flesh" on the wrapper when I was a kid if it was changed in , when I was only one year old.

As soon as I received that notice, I purchased boxes for all of the coloring-aged classes at my 4yo child's daycare and all of the Sunday School classes at our church.
